Open Banking Gets a Boost with New COO at Yapily
Yapily, the open banking platform, has hired Tanya Ziv as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). Ziv comes from Currencycloud, where she spent five years as COO. She has also worked at other impressive scaleups such as eToro and Lebara and has over fifteen years of experience in compliance and risk departments at fintech and payments companies.
Ziv is optimistic about the opportunities open banking can provide:
“I believe that open banking is the future. Moving money should not be as complicated and slow as it is today. There are too many parties involved in each and every transaction, all of whom are taking bites out of those funds. With all the innovation and technical capabilities available today, this shouldn’t be an issue anymore. Open banking is perfectly set up to solve this problem – and I believe it is the right path forward. That is one reason I seized the opportunity to join a scaleup with a clear mission to help fintechs and merchants embrace open banking.”
Ziv joins other new appointments at Yapily, including Marc Kuzak as VP of Legal, Stefano Paoletti as SVP of Sales, and Lisa Gutu as VP of Sales, Europe. Yapily’s clients include Zilch, Tide, Pleo and Intuit.
