Accusation and Withdrawal from Mayoral Race
Daniel Korski, a conservative London mayoral hopeful, has withdrawn from the race after being accused of groping a TV producer in 2013. Last week, novelist Daisy Goodwin accused Korski of the incident, which he denies categorically. However, due to the pressure on his family and the lack of a fair hearing for his message, Korski felt it was impossible to continue his campaign.
Role at London-based Tech Firm
In addition to his political aspirations, Korski held the position of CEO at Public.io, a London-based tech advisory firm. Founded in 2017 by Korski and venture investor Alexander de Carvalho, Public.io aims to support tech startups in working with UK public services. However, Korski is no longer serving as CEO, with de Carvalho taking over the role. The firm has evolved from a VC firm to a government-focused technology company, advising governments, public bodies, and partners in enhancing their digital offerings.
Ministry of Defence and DCMS as Clients
Public.io has received £1.4 million in funding to date and counts the Ministry of Defence and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) among its clients. The firm’s website highlights its position as a leading European government-focused technology company.
Innovate Finance
Korski is also credited with the creation of Innovate Finance, an organization that represents numerous fintech startups in the City of London.
