Visa Hires Former Electronic Arts CFO
Visa has brought on Chris Suh, former CFO of videogame publisher Electronic Arts, as its new chief financial officer (CFO). Suh is set to replace longstanding CFO Vasant Prabhu and will join newly appointed CEO Ryan McInerney on the executive leadership team.
Ryan McInerney’s Leadership Team
McInerney took over as head of the company in February after being named back in November, replacing Alfred Kelly Jr, who had been CEO and chairman since 2016 and then transitioned to executive chairman of the board. McInerney highlighted Suh’s deep experience in finance and technology as well as his leadership in growing and scaling businesses as assets to Visa.
Chris Suh’s Impressive Career
Prior to joining EA, Suh spent over 25 years in various leadership roles at Microsoft, eventually becoming the CVP and CFO for cloud and AI and helping lead Microsoft’s growth as a “cloud-first business”. Suh expressed enthusiasm for joining Visa, admiring its history of innovation and industry leadership.
Transition Period and Future Plans
Suh will serve as CFO designate through July and August, with Prabhu retiring from Visa at the end of September. Visa and its executive leadership team look forward to Suh’s contributions in shaping the future of payments around the globe.
